It’s a bit like when you’ve had a mobile phone for a lot of years and it simply can’t cope with what technology now has to offer. But with the pile of pap that is my computer, I have to use the least memory- and storage-hungry products. I checked my task manager, but the only thing that seemed to be taking up a bit of room was MS Edge.įor an internet browser, I much prefer Opera. And then the internet seemed to be driven by steam. In fact, my Yahoo mail app fell over the night before, but at least I could still look at the web version … but then yesterday, the web version started to wind down too. All I can say now is … The rest of technologyĪll of the rest of technology, though, is sending me bananas.Įverything else seemed to be struggling yesterday. If I really can’t find out how to do stuff, the Windows support team are ace, and the two platforms are so aligned now that if I can only find documentation or support or tips for Mac/iOS, at least I can probably fudge it. In the meantime, I can still go and do some of them in Calibre. There are a few things I haven’t worked out how to do yet, but I know that they’re there. At last us Windows users are not left to flounder in the wilderness. I’ve had a lot of fun playing with the new Scrivener for Windows.Īt last we have caught up with our Mac/iOS chums. What is there not to like? It’s sleek, it’s clean, it’s sharp, it does everything I’m used to doing a lot quicker and more easily.
